THE SUNDAY GOSPELS

FIFTY-TWO SHORT INSPIRATIONAL LESSONS FOR A CHRISTIAN LIFE

Beloved in the Lord,

“Come and see,” Philip told Nathanael regarding the Lord Jesus Christ. Two-thousand years later, I invite you to do the same.

To come and see the life-giving and saving words of the Gospel. To come and see the applicability of Holy Scripture in our lives today. To come and see that only Christianity offers the perfect recipe for fulfilling and eternal happiness. That only Christianity can quench our spiritual thirst.

The Bible provides the answers to all of our questions. The Bible provides us with advice and direction for any situation. The Bible allows us to pray and communicate with God Himself. Orthodoxy has an unparalleled richness through its liturgical practice and tradition, which is rooted in the New Testament. Orthodoxy and the New Testament allow us to unlock the mysteries of life and enter into communion with the God-Man Jesus Christ.

We have both the solemn responsibility and blessed opportunity to learn about and grow in our faith through the Bible. To not only be called Christians, but to be Christians, each and every day. For this reason, and building upon our very popular booklet, “I’m Orthodox: What Does That Mean?” I am pleased to present this publication for all to read and reference throughout the year.

In it are fifty-two excerpts taken from the full Sunday Gospel Readings, which are Gospel Readings I encourage you to read in their entirety, together with fifty-two short inspirational lessons that provide useful information and a practical guide to live a Christian life. Read it. Reflect upon its words. Consider its meaning. Implement its instructions. Share its message of love.

Let us follow Christ and do His commandments. Let us go to Church and connect with the Lord Jesus. Most importantly, let us come and see Him and through Him our life will be transfigured and made holy.

With fatherly love and blessings,
