Εκοιµήθη εν Κυρίω ο π. Απόστολος Ανανιάδης. Καταξιωµένος κληρικός, πατήρ και παππούς θαυµασίων οικογενειών. Η πρεσβυτέρα του Καλλιόπη –νοσοκόµος- τον περιποιήθηκε στο σπίτι κατά θαυµαστό τρόπο. Η οικογένεια του π. Απόστολου υπήρξε πρότυπο χριστιανικής οικογένειας.
Ο π. Απόστολος Ανανιάδης υπηρέτησε κατά άριστο τρόπο στον Ι.Ν. Αγ. Γεωργίου Vancouver, Αγ. Τριάδος, London, Αγ. Δηµητρίου, Toronto και Παναγίας, Toronto. Πέραν τούτων, υπηρέτησε ως Γενικός Αρχιερατικός Επίτροπος της Ι. Επισκοπής Τορόντο (Καναδά) από το έτος 1979 έως το έτος 1989. Υπηρέτησε, επίσης, ως καθηγητής του Κανονικού Δικαίου της Θεολογικής µας Ακαδηµίας. Το πέρασµά του άφησε παντού ανεξίτηλα τα ίχνη του.
Καθυστερήσαµε αυτό το δελτίο τύπου για την κηδεία του π. Αποστόλου Ανανιάδη, λόγω των προβληµάτων του κορονοϊού. Το Τρισάγιο έγινε το εσπέρας της Κυριακής 15 Μαρτίου στον Ι.Ν. Αγ. Ιωάννη του Θεολόγου. Η κηδεία του έγινε την Δευτέρα 16 Μαρτίου στον Ι. Ναό Αγ. Ιωάννη του Θεολόγου, αφού προηγουµένως είχε τελεσθεί Θ.Λειτουργία Προηγιασµένων Τιµίων Δώρων. Λόγω του κορονοϊού µόνο οι άνθρωποι του στενού οικογενειακού περιβάλλοντος έλαβαν µέρος στο Τρισάγιο, στην κηδεία και στη Θ. Λειτουργία. Προέστη του Τρισαγίου και της κηδείας ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Σωτήριος και έλαβαν µέρος άπαντες οι ιερείς Τορόντο και Περιχώρων.
Ευχόµεθα ο Τρισάγιος Θεός να αναπαύει την ψυχή του µεταξύ των αγίων και των αγγέλων του ουρανού.
Fr. Apostolos Ananiadis fell asleep in the Lord
Fr. Apostolos Ananiadis fell asleep in the Lord. A well respected priest, father and grandfather of wonderful families. His Presvytera, Kalliope –nurse– took great care of him in their home. Fr. Apostolos’ family was an exemplary Christian family.
Fr. Apostolos Ananiadis served in an excellent manner the Churches of St. George, Vancouver; Holy Trinity, London; St. Dimitrios, Toronto; and, Panagia, Toronto.
He also served as Vicar General of the Diocese of Toronto (Canada) from 1979 to 1989 and as a professor of Church Canon Law at our Academy. He leaves behind a notable and long lasting contribution.
We delayed this press release for the funeral of Fr. Apostolos Ananiadis, because of the current Covid-19 problems. The Trisagion was held on the evening of Sunday, March 15th at the Church of St. John the Theologian. The Funeral took place on Monday, March 15th, in the Church of St. John the Theologian, following the Presanctified Liturgy. Because of Covid-19, only close family members were in attendance for the Trisagion, the Funeral Service and the Presanctified Liturgy. Archbishop Sotirios presided over the Trisagion and the Funeral, assisted by all the priests of the Greater Toronto Area.
We pray that God rest his soul among the Saints and the Angels of Heaven.
