Ετοιμάζου πνευματική Βηθλεέμ. Ετοιμάζου καρδιά μου. Ετοιμάζου ψυχή μου. Συ είσαι η πνευματική Βηθλεέμ.
Ο Χριστός δεν θέλει να γεννηθεί σαν άνθρωπος μέσα σου. Θέλει σαν Θεός αληθινός να κατοικήσει μέσα σου. Θέλει να κάνει τον περίπατό Του. Θέλει να μείνει μέσα σου για πάντα.
Ποιος είναι ο Χριστός και γιατί το θέλει αυτό; Είναι ο αληθινός Μεσσίας. Είναι ο μόνος Λυτρωτής και Σωτήρας όλου του κόσμου, ψυχή μου και καρδιά μου.
Θέλει να κατοικεί μέσα σου και να κάνει τον περίπατό Του για να σε κρατεί ελεύθερη. Για να σε ηρεμεί. Για να σε κρατεί πνευματικά ζωντανή. Για να σε οδηγήσει από τον θάνατο στη ζωή. Για να σε οδηγήσει δια του θανάτου στην αιώνια βασιλεία. Εκεί που καθημερινά και ατελεύτητα θα ζεις και θα απολαμβάνεις την δόξα. Την αγιότητα. Την αγάπη. Την χαρά. Την ευτυχία του Δημιουργού σου. Του Θεού.
Ψυχή μου θέλει ο Χριστός να κατοικεί μέσα σου και να κάνει τον περίπατό Του, αλλά θέτει ένα όρο. Μόνο ένα όρο. Ο όρος είναι να είσαι καθαρή. «Μακάριοι οι καθαροί τη καρδία…».
Θέλεις ψυχή μου την μακαριότητά σου, την ευτυχία σου; Ετοιμάζου. Ευπρεπίζου. Γίνου καθαρή και μείνε καθαρή.
Μα πως; Διερωτάσαι ψυχή μου. Είμαι αδύνατη. Σάρκα φορώ και τον κόσμο οικώ. Άλλοτε θεληματικά και άλλοτε άθελά μου αμαρτάνω. Θέλω να είμαι καθαρή. Θέλω τον Νυμφίο μου Χριστό να ζεί μέσα μου για πάντα. Αλλά το βρίσκω δύσκολο.
Μην απογοητεύεσαι ψυχή μου. Να τι θα κάνεις και ο Χριστός ποτέ δεν θα σε εγκαταλείψει. Θα είναι πάντα μέσα σου. Πρώτα απ΄όλα έχε πίστη στον Χριστό. Είναι ο μόνος αληθινός Θεός. Είναι ο Μεσσίας. Είναι ο Σωτήρας σου και Λυτρωτής σου. Αυτή η πίστη σου είναι ο συνδετικός κρίκος που σε συνδέει άρρηκτα μαζί Του. Ύστερα προσευχήσου. Προσευχήσου ασταμάτητα. Είναι η συνομιλία με το Νυμφίο σου Χριστό. Η προσευχή είναι η πνοή της ψυχής σου.
Αμάρτησες, ψυχή μου, και δεν αισθάνεσαι καθαρή; Έμπα στο λουτρό της μετανοίας και εξομολόγησης. Θα γίνεις πιο καθαρή και πιο λευκή απ’ το πιο καθαρό χιόνι.
Πεινάς ψυχή μου; Σε καταλαβαίνω. Φάγε πνευματική τροφή. Το Σώμα και το Αίμα του Χριστού. Την Θεία Κοινωνία. Είναι φάρμακο αθανασίας. Οδηγεί στην αιώνια ζωή.
Σου λείπει ψυχή μου κάτι ακόμη; Κάμε ελεημοσύνη. Φρόντισε τον πλησίον. Δώσε με χαρά. Τον ιλαρό δότη αγαπάει ο Θεός. Αυτόν που ελεεί με χαρά. Με αγάπη. Με προθυμία.
Ναι ψυχή μου. Κάνοντας τα ανωτέρω είσαι η πραγματική νύμφη. Η νύμφη για τον Νυμφίο Χριστό. Τον Αγαπημένο σου που ποτέ δεν θα σε προδώσει.
Ναι, αγαπημένοι μου χριστιανοί. Στην πνευματική Βηθλεέμ του καθενός μας θέλει να γεννηθεί πάλι εφέτος ο Χριστός. Να μείνει εκεί και να κάνει τον περίπατό Του εκεί. Να είναι για τον καθένα μας φως και χαρά και ζωή. Να μας κρατεί ευτυχείς και χαρούμενους σε τούτη τη ζωή και να μας οδηγεί επί του ασφαλούς στην αιώνια ζωή.
Καλά Χριστούγεννα αγαπημένοι μου χριστιανοί. Με καθαρή καρδιά. Με τον Χριστό μέσα μας. Με τον νου μας στην ουράνια βασιλεία του Θεού. Στην αιώνια μακαριότητα. Στην αιώνια δόξα. Στην αιώνια ευτυχία.

“Prepare Yourself, O Bethlehem”

Prepare yourself, O spiritual Bethlehem. Prepare yourself, my heart. Prepare yourself, my soul. For you must become a spiritual Bethlehem in which Christ wishes to be born.
Christ does not simply want to be born as a man in you. He wants to dwell in you as true God. He wants to sojourn with you. He wants to take up His dwelling within you forever.
Who is Jesus Christ and why does He want to do this? Christ is the true Messiah. He is the only Redeemer and Savior of the world, especially of my soul and my heart.
He wants to dwell in you and go wherever you will go, so that He may preserve you in true freedom. He desires to grant you peace and serenity. To keep you spiritually alive. To lead you from death to life. To accompany you through death to the eternal kingdom. There, where you will forever live and enjoy the glory of God and His holiness – His love, joy, and the happiness of being united with your Creator and God.
My soul, Christ wants to dwell in you and to journey with you in life. He only asks one thing of you – and one thing only: that you strive to be pure and free from sin. For He reminds us: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
My soul, do you desire a life of blessedness and happiness? Then make the effort to prepare yourself. To work towards this goal. Purify yourself and remain cleansed and purified.
But how can this be done, you ask? You may think that you are weak. That you are a sinful person, clothed in flesh and tied to the pleasures of this world. That you sin in many ways: either intentionally and sometimes unintentionally. Say to yourself instead: I want to be pure and clean. I want Christ, my Bridegroom, to be wedded to my soul, and to live in me forever. Do not think that this is so difficult to attain.
Do not be discouraged, my soul. This is what you will do, and have faith that Christ will never forsake you. He will always be with you. First and foremost, have faith in Christ, for He is the only true God who will assist you. He is the long-awaited Messiah. He is your Saviour and your Redeemer. Always remember that your faith is the link that connects you intimately with Him. Then pray to Him. Pray unceasingly. Prayer is the conversation and the dialogue that you will have with your Loving Bridegroom Christ. Prayer is the breath and the oxygen that enlivens your soul.
Have you sinned, my soul, and is that why you do not feel clean and pure? Then cleanse yourself in the spiritual bath of repentance and confession. You will then feel and become more clean and whiter than the purest snow.
My soul, are you hungry? I empathize with you. Then feast and be nourished with the spiritual food that Christ offers us: His own Body and Blood in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. It is the medicine of immortality. Receiving it leads us to the abundant life He promises us in eternity.
Do you feel, my soul, that you are still lacking something else? Then do acts of mercy. Help those less fortunate than you in life. Take care of your neighbour. Give with joy. God loves the cheerful giver and the person who does these acts of mercy with joy, with love, and willingness of heart.
Yes, my soul. When you strive to do all these things, then you have become a true bride for your union and marriage with Christ who is your loving Bridegroom. He will never betray you, but will remain true to you forever.
Yes, my beloved Christians. Our Lord Jesus Christ wishes to be born anew within the spiritual Bethlehem that we must prepare ourselves to become again this year. He wants to take up His abode in us, and to sojourn with us, going wherever we go. He wants to be our true Light, and to give us the joy of eternal Life in eternal union with Him in Paradise. He wants us to rejoice in Him, and to be happy in this life, so that He can lead us on the secure and blessed way that leads us to life in eternity.
Merry Christmas, my dear Christians. Celebrate the birth of our Savior with a pure heart. Invite Christ to be born in you again this year. Let us purify ourselves, so that we may seek the heavenly Kingdom of God. Let us rejoice in the eternal blessedness that He promises us. Let us seek the eternal glory and happiness that only He can give us. Christ is born! Let us glorify Him!
