Camp Metamorphosis BC once again exceeded all expectations! Since 2010 CAMP MET BC has grown from 25 campers and 8 staff, to 147 campers and 40 staff this summer. Our Summer Camp once again took place at Pioneer Pacific Christian Camp on beautiful Thetis Island. Camp was lead by Director, Fr. Constantinos Economos (St. George, Vancouver), Assistant Director Elleni Asimakis, Programs Director Aphrodite Koseos and a wonderful volunteer staff of young adults. We were blessed to have Fr. Evangelos Aravantinos (Ypapanti, Victoria) and Fr. Timoleon Prattas (Sts. Nicholas and Demetrios, East Vancouver) spend the entire week with the group. Our theme this summer was CREATION which saw each day themed after a day of creation and discussions led on each topic. A highlight was the amazing Carnival organized by all of our staff. We were also blessed to have Fr. Demetrios Antonopoulos (Evangelismos, Montreal) and five young adults participate from Montreal, Quebec. Fr. Demetrios led many discussions and was an asset to our program this year.
Due to the great success of our Summer Camp program we have already begun registrations for Winter Camp, which is scheduled to take place from Sunday, December 27th to Tuesday, December 29th, 2015, at the Zajac Ranch for Children in Mission, BC. Winter Camp can accommodate 90 campers and 20 staff and it looks like it will be another sold out event. For more information visit our webpage: www.campmetbc.ca
