The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada is pleased to lend its support to the 2023 Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada (GIFFT).
This year’s GIFFT will take place between September 28th and October 6th in 11 cities (six provinces) across the country: Toronto; Edmonton; Calgary; Ottawa; Hamilton; Vancouver; London; Winnipeg; Regina; Halifax; and, Saskatoon.
Led by Executive Director and faithful Orthodox Christian, Mr. Stanley Papulkas, the GIFFT is a unique and praiseworthy initiative that showcases and celebrates Greek cinema and heritage, including Holy Orthodoxy.
Among the films featured this year is “The Right Pocket of the Robe,” a story of a Greek Orthodox monk that previously earned the Best Feature Film award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival.
